(Multiple Listing Service), the number of sales of single-family homes -
island wide - increased in December 2009 and in January 2010. In December '09 the number of single-family home sales
(island wide) increased 89.47% when compared to Dec. '08 results. In
January 2010 that number increased 190% over Jan. 2009. While sales volume of
single-family homes jumped 319.86% between Dec. '08 and Dec. '09, it
decreased 33.36% between Jan. 2009 and Jan. 2010. The Kawaihau district showed the highest
number of sales (8) with the Lihue and Koloa districts in 2nd place
(7 each).
Median sales prices for single-family homes on Kauai
went down, island wide, from $466,785 in Jan. 2009 to $375,000 in
Jan. 2010.
The
median
price of condominiums (island wide) decreased from $254,000 in Jan. 2009
to
$204,500 in Jan. 2010
